The bat features the Boombah Rook design, inspired by Ryan himself. Ryan shared that “Rook” is short for rookie, a nickname he was given in high school playing summer ball with the college guys. He was the youngest on the team then and once he started playing slow pitch softball, he was the youngest guy on the team again. The story behind the art work on this bat is based on Kintsugi Japanese art. Which finds beauty in imperfection and impermanence. Instead of hiding the damage, it makes the repair a central feature, celebrating the object's history and resilience. Ryan shared that, “this reminds me of my life and where I am today.”
